Research & Development
One of nanoComposix's primary goals is to utilize its proprietary nanoscale toolkit to build multi-component nanoparticles with unique properties and capabilities. Through innovative R&D at nanoComposix and in collaboration with our partners, we aim to accelerate the commercialization of nanoenabled products. R&D at nanoComposix is organized into the following three areas:
SBIR/STTR: Novel solutions to the government's technology needs are generatated, vetted, and prototyped. We have successfully commercialized products from SBIR/STTR research that include novel military obscurants, precisely engineered nanoparticles for toxiology research, nanofluids with high thermal conductivity, and nanoparticle based MALDI matrices.
Contract R&D: Utilizing nanoComposix's expertise and infrastructure allows companies to rapidly develop and scale-up custom nanoparticle formulations for their own use. In an open and transparent working relationship, we are able to rapidly solve integration issues that maximize the potential benefit of the targeted technology.
Collaborative R&D: As either the prime or a subcontractor, nanoComposix has collaborated with companies, government laboratories, and universities to jointly obtain funding for research projects. We are able to rapidly generate ideas, preliminary data, and text to increase the success rate for funding.
