Endotoxin Testing of Nanoparticles

Endotoxins are components of the outer membranes of bacteria that are released when cells are disrupted. Endotoxin contamination can come from the reagent materials used in nanoparticle fabrication or can be introduced during subsequent fabrication and processing steps.

At nanoComposix we have developed methods that allow for sensitive endotoxin detection in the presence of nanoparticle. Our assay utilizes a Pyros Kinetix Turbidity Assay instrument with a limit of detection of 0.001 EU/mL in diluted samples.
