For orders containing temperature sensitive items (such as silver nanoparticles) that are shipping with cold packaging and insulation, we charge a flat rate of $40 for shipments within the US, $60 for shipments to Canada and Mexico, and $85 for all other international orders (all in USD). For orders containing items that don't require cold shipping, the shipping cost is $25 within the US, $40 to Canada and Mexico, and $60 for all other international shipments.
Domestic orders are shipped via FedEx Priority Overnight, and international orders are shipped via FedEx Priority International (typically requires 2-4 days in transit). If you require overnight shipping, please contact us. If any items are on backorder, you will be contacted shortly.
Orders for standard products are typically processed and shipped within 1-3 business days. Orders received Monday through Wednesday before 12 pm PST will typically arrive by the end of the week; orders received after will ship the following week to prevent products from sitting in an uncontrolled temperature environment over the weekend.
The lead time for orders with custom material will vary. Please contact us if you would like an estimated ship date.
International Shipping, Customs, and Duties
Many of our customers are international and due to the temperature sensitive nature of our products, it is very important that delays in shipping due to customs and duties collection are minimized. If you are an international customer who has not set up shipping terms with us, we will contact you to determine how you want to handle duties:
- Option #1: nanoComposix pays for all VAT and duties and we will bill you for all customs charges after the product is shipped. For this option, we require that you pay for the product before shipment (a Pro Forma invoice will be supplied). A second bill that contains the charges for VAT and duties will be sent after the product has arrived. You must have a written statement on your purchase order that states: “I authorize nanoComposix to pay the VAT and duties on this order before shipment and will fully reimburse nanoComposix for the VAT and duties paid”.
- Option #2: You are solely responsible for payment of taxes and duties upon receipt of the product. If you have a VAT number, please provide it on your purchase order as this will expedite handling. Please ensure that you have provided the name and phone number of the person in your organization responsible for handling the payment and processing of customs fees so we can include this information on the shipping forms. NanoComposix is not responsible for any damage to temperature sensitive products due to delays in customs. Please ensure that you have the correct payment and paperwork ready for the shipping carrier on the scheduled delivery date.
NanoComposix’s products are shipped under the Harmonized Code Number 3822006000. In Europe and many other companies this Harmonized Code Number is duty free. The applicable Export Control Classification Number is EAR99.
