We recommend placing orders through our website to ensure the quickest processing and turnaround. Payment for web orders can be made with a credit card or Purchase Order. For Purchase Orders we require an emailed, faxed, or mailed copy of the formal purchase order (with official company or institution letterhead) before we can fulfill the order. For custom products please place the order by email, phone or fax.
Email, Phone, and Fax Orders
Orders can be placed by email, phone, or fax.
Please be sure to provide the product number, volume, and quantity of each item. The billing address, shipping address, and payment method should also be included with your order. For security purposes, credit card information should only be provided over the phone. Alternatively, an invoice including a link to pay can be forwarded for secure payment.
Purchase Orders (PO)
NanoComposix accepts formal Purchase Orders as a binding contract to pay for an order. The Purchase Order must be pre-approved by your department and emailed, faxed, or mailed to us before we can process your order. If you are placing your order online, select the “Purchase Order” payment option during check-out to get an order copy that can be used for drafting a purchase order. Email or fax your signed purchase order to us. We will not begin processing your order until an official PO is received.
Our standard payment terms are NET30 with your formal purchase order submission. We greatly appreciate all payments within the noted terms. Past due invoices may be subject to a 1.5% per month finance charge. Outstanding invoices could prevent the fulfillment of future orders. Please be sure to communicate any delays in payment to avoid holds on your account.
To pay with a credit card you can request an invoice for your order including a secure link to pay or call +1 858-565-4227 and follow the prompts. Be sure to include the name as it appears on the card, card number, expiry and confirm your billing zip code.

Quote & Pro Forma Invoice Requests
Requests for quotes can be sent to email@example.com. Please be sure to provide the product number, volume, and quantity of each item. Your billing address, shipping address, and any special delivery notes should also be included. Quotes and Pro Forma Invoices for products available on our web site can also be requested by adding items to your cart and emailing a print out of your cart to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you would like a quote for a custom material, please provide specific details about the product you are requesting by filling out our Custom Materials Request Form.
Custom & Semi-Custom Materials
If you are interested in a custom synthesis or a material you are not able to find under our standard product offerings, please fill out our Custom Materials Request Form with complete details regarding the type, volume, and application of the material you are interested in. Any additional information you can provide will enable us to better assist you in selecting a suitable material. All orders are shipped exclusively with FedEx. If you have a FedEx Account you would like us to ship with, please provide your account number when placing your order. If purchasing online, it can be entered in the order notes before checkout. In this case, the order will still include shipping charges that will be removed once the order is being processed and a new order confirmation showing the revision will be emailed to the order contact. Please note that cold packaging fees will still apply for insulated shipments. The cold packaging charge is an additional $20 for domestic shipments, $25 for shipments to Canada and Mexico, and $30 for all other international shipments.
For orders containing temperature sensitive items (such as silver nanoparticles) that are shipping with cold packaging and insulation, we charge a flat rate of $45 for shipments within the US, $65 for shipments to Canada and Mexico, and $90 for all other international orders (all in USD). For orders containing items that don't require insulation, the shipping cost is $25 within the US, $40 to Canada and Mexico, and $60 for all other international shipments.
Domestic orders are shipped strictly via FedEx Priority Overnight, and international orders are shipped via FedEx Priority International (typically requires 2–4 days in transit). If you would like to request rush shipping for an extra fee, please contact us. If any items are on backorder, you will be informed about the length of the delay shortly after placing the order.
Products containing large volumes of alcohols or organic solvents may be broken into smaller aliquots due to hazardous shipping restrictions.
Orders will be filled following a First-In-First-Out (FIFO) lot allocation policy unless otherwise agreed in advance of ordering. A First-Expired-First-Out (FEFO) policy may be used in place of FIFO where products have a defined expiration date.
International Shipping, Customs, and Duties
Many of our customers are international. And due to the temperature sensitive nature of our products it is very important that delays in delivery for duties collection and customs clearance are minimized.
You are solely responsible for payment of taxes and duties upon receipt of the product. If you have a VAT number or can provide us with your exemption certificate, please do so when placing your order as this will expedite handling. Please ensure that you have included the name and phone number of the person in your organization responsible for handling the payment and processing of customs fees so we can include this information on the shipping forms. NanoComposix is not responsible for any damage to temperature sensitive products due to delays in customs. Please ensure that you have the correct payment and paperwork ready for the shipping carrier on or before the scheduled delivery date.
nanoComposix’s products are shipped under HTS code 3822.19.0000. In Europe and many other countries this Harmonized Code Number is duty free. The applicable Export Control Classification Number is EAR99. Our standard international shipping incoterms are EXW (Ex Works).

How long will it take to process my order?
Orders for standard products are typically processed and shipped within 1–5 business days. For orders shipping within the US, orders received Monday through Wednesday before 11 am PST will typically arrive by the end of the week; orders received after will ship the following week. International orders have limited shipping days to mitigate lengthy transit times as much as possible. Contact us for the shipping schedule to your location.
What is the average shipping time?
Domestic orders are shipped Monday through Thursday via FedEx Priority Overnight. International orders are shipped via FedEx Priority International and typically arrive within 3–8 days. Do you ship internationally? Do you have international distributors in my area?
We have provided materials to researchers in more than 40 countries and ship our materials worldwide. For most international shipments, we strongly recommend that you place your order through your local distributor.
