TEM Nanoparticle Analysis
Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) directly images nanoparticle samples at high resolution, providing information about physical particle dimensions, size distribution, morphology, and structural features such as cores and shells. Low-contrast biological and polymeric materials, including PLGA particles, PMMA, viruses, liposomes, vesicles, and exosomes, can also be evaluated using negative-stain TEM (NS-TEM) techniques.
At nanoComposix, TEM imaging is performed using a FEI Tecnai 12 transmission electron microscope operating at an accelerating voltage of 120 keV with an AMT XR41-B CCD camera. Imaging and particle sizing options are available based on the sample and analytical objective.
