The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program allocates 2.5% of all federal agency extramural research budgets to fund small businesses to accelerate commercialization of high risk/high return innovative technologies. NanoComposix has been awarded SBIR and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) contracts from NASA, DoD, NSF, and NIH to work on a wide variety of projects including next generation military obscurants, targeted cancer drug delivery vehicles, and flow based manufacturing of plasmonic nanomaterials – see some of our current and previous SBIR Projects here.
At nanoComposix we believe that the SBIR program is a key economic driver for job growth in the US and is critical if the US is going to maintain its position as a world leader in developing and commercializing new technologies.
We are continuously looking for partners for SBIR/STTR opportunities. If you have a nanotechnology enabled idea that you believe would be appropriate for this program, please contact us to see if we can work together to utilize SBIR/STTR funding to take your idea to market.
