In a Zeta potential experiment, the electrophoretic mobility of particles moving under applied voltage is measured, and the Zeta Potential is calculated using knowledge of the solvent properties and the Henry equation. The magnitude of the zeta potential provides information about particle stability, with particles with higher magnitude zeta potentials exhibiting increased stability. Zeta Potential can give information about the particle surface. Learn more ❯
At nanoComposix, zeta potential testing is performed using a Malvern Zetasizer Nano ZS instrument equipped with a HeNe laser operating at 633 nm and a scattering detector at 173 degrees.
